Frequently Asked Questions
Jetwash Screen FAQs
How long do jetwash screens last, and what maintenance is needed?
Do you offer installation, or is it delivery only?
Alotek Ltd provides both installation and delivery-only options. Our experienced team can install your jetwash screens efficiently, including any required groundwork. Alternatively, we can deliver the screens to your site, allowing you to manage installation yourself.
I want a custom jetwash screen. How can I get a quote?
We offer a free site survey and bespoke design service. We’ll create a 3D design of your screens so you can see exactly how they will look and fit before manufacturing. To discuss your project, email us at alex.thomas@alotek.co.uk.
Can I choose the colour of my jetwash screen?
Yes! We offer a wide range of colours. During the design stage, we’ll provide a RAL colour chart so you can select the perfect shade for your screens to match your branding or site aesthetics.
How do I choose the right size for my jetwash screen?
Consider the types of vehicles being washed, the space available at your site, and the number of bays in use. Busy locations may require larger or multiple screens, while smaller sites can use compact models. It’s often wise to select slightly larger screens than your current needs to accommodate future growth or different vehicle sizes.
What glazing options are available?
The standard option would be 25mm thick multiwall polycarbonate or 4, 5, or 6mm thickness polycarbonate sheet depending on use case. Screens can also be installed with clear toughened safety glass. Toughened glass provides excellent clarity, resists scratching, and breaks safely into small fragments if damaged. Polycarbonate is highly impact-resistant, making it ideal for areas prone to accidental damage or heavy use, though it is more susceptible to surface scratching than glass.
What types/ sizes of jetwash screens are available?
Jetwash screens come in a variety of standard sizes to suit different vehicles and site layouts. We offer screens for single and multi-bay installations, and dimensions can be tailored to accommodate vehicles of various heights and widths. For unique site requirements, we provide a bespoke design service, ensuring your screens perfectly fit your facility.
What are jetwash screens made from?
Our jetwash screens are constructed from high-quality mild steel columns with a primed and powder coated finish and aluminium profiles for the cladding. Aluminium is also lightweight, which makes installation quicker, easier, and more cost-effective. Every screen comes with a 15-year guarantee for long-term reliability.
